Questions to you
Tick the boxes in front of every question, if you want to answer with “Yes”
Would you like to travel to Africa? Where nature is still untamed and untamed?
Would you like to be close to African nature?
Do you want to experience mighty elephants, jumping antelopes, lazy lions, hissing mambas, laughing hyenas and cheeky monkeys not behind bars and glass panes, but in their habitat? Are you not only interested in the Big Five, but also the Little Five and the Ugly Five? And are you also happy when another zebra, springbok or wildebeest crosses your path?
Would you like to see bizarre plants like the Baobab or the Welwitschia? A knotty camel thorn trees in the desert?
Would you like to experience endless plains, strange rock formations, soft dunes?
Would you like to be overwhelmed by the beauty of the starry night sky

Do you want to expose yourself to nature? Feel the hot sun on your skin and the wind in your hair? Smell the smell of the first rain after a long drought? Hear the absolute silence in a huge landscape?
Are you curious about foreign cultures? Would you like to meet people who are so different and realize that despite the strangeness, we have a lot in common? Do you want to know how they live, what they believe and hope?
Are you ready to talk with hands and feet and a smile because you don’t know their language? Are you not only looking for the tourist enclaves, but also want to get to know the people there in a foreign country?
After a hot day do you want to drink a cold beer or Gin & Tonic at the campfire while your food is cooking over glowing coals?
Would you like to live for a while without constant contact to the outside world?
If you have ticked off more than one question, you’ve come to the right place!

Anita and Anette
We, Anita and Anette, say yes to all the questions above! We have already traveled thousands of kilometres in Africa and want to live out this passion for travelling even more intensively from 2019 onwards.
Anette was born in Namibia and spent the first half of her life there. Since she can remember, she was in the African nature on holidays and weekends. Love brought her to Germany, but despite the benefits of European culture, she always felt homesick for Namibia and the continent of her childhood. After twenty years in Germany, she now returns to where she is at home.
After Anita Anette got to know Namibia and southern Africa, it was her dream to live in Africa some day. Now she realizes her dream and emigrates to Namibia.

We are both enthusiastic Africa travellers and have found that we complement each other wonderfully during our travels in Southern Africa:
Anette plans the trips, loves to drive an all-terrain car through difficult passages and lives out her creativity in photography and writing. She prefers to relax with binoculars and a birding book at a watering hole.
Anita, who used to go in and out of 5-star hotels, loves camping in the wilderness and sleeping under millions of stars. She is an enthusiastic cook and always has new ideas and recipes to try at the campfire.
Both enjoy the vast, tranquil landscape and the life of the African savannah and desert.
This website
On this website we want to write about travelling in Africa and about our journeys. Since we ourselves prefer to travel with our four-wheel drive car and to camp, the focus of this website will be on this kind of travelling.
We want to give you here
- Answers to your questions
- Inspiration for your journey and
- encourage you to explore the second largest continent on earth yourself.
We are planning to write about destinations, people, animals and plants and especially about the way we travel: what equipment we use, how we plan our travels, how we drive, camp and cook, how we get closer to African nature.
If you would like to participate in our life outside of our trips, subscribe to our newsletter. You will then receive an email from us once a month.
